This is a couple of the cards I made for my samples board, Both using Big Shot embossing folders.

I was very lucky to be able to borrow this lovely set of a fellow demonstrator and friend of a friend, Susan Small, I've used the Chinese lantern technique as well as embossing. The colours I used are  Riding Hood Red, Soft Suede, Basic Black and Very Vanilla.

I'm Back

Back Blogging 

Ive finally had a chance to get back to some stamping, I've had a very busy stressful 6 weeks but its all behind me now and I can get back into what I love... Stamping!

I spent an afternoon stamping with Paula last week and cased this Animal Stories card which Paula had a picture of, I'm sorry but I'm not sure who the original was made by but thanks for the inspiration I love the layout.

The other card I made very quickly for a friends birthday today, I used one of my favorite sets Bloomin with Beauty which is retiring so I'm sure there will be something else in the new I B&C that I will like as much.

I saw this tutorial on SCS (Beate Jones) and I've been wanting to have a play, so heres my Pocket Card design using Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black,Whisper White card stock and inks, Dreams du jour stamp set.

This weeks colour challenge is using Rich Razzleberry  Kiwi Kiss  Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White, As I love the All A Flutter stamp I combined it with Eastern Influence stamp set for this weeks combo.

I needed a quick card for my sister-in-laws birthday today, After looking on SCS I liked this card ( I made a few changes) the card was made by Ruth M.

The flowers were rock & rolled, Branches were made using Two Step Bird punch.

I wanted to use Vintage Vogue as my sister-in-law loves vintage/antique things.

For my JAI challenge this week  I thought I'd combine with this tea bag holder which I have made for my good friend Elaine who is off on her annual trip to the UK, I really love the All a Flutter stamp from the Autumn mini.

Convention 2010- GREAT!!

I've just got back from my first Stampin'UP! Convention and what a great time I had, I met so many lovely ladies and fellow stampers.

We had to take swaps with us which is great as you get to come home with some lovely swaps and some great new ideas, anyway heres my swap which I made 85 of.

 Every Mothers Day I send a card full of Love to an Aunt of mine,she lost her only daughter ( my close cousin/friend) to breast cancer . I saw Paula making these lovely flowers and thought of my Aunt,Thanks Paula for the tutorial which she got from Judy Marshall in Canada.

Bloomin with Beauty for Mothers Day

       Mothers Day Swap   I was asked to do a Mothers Day Swap with Paula and Debi, I saw something similar a while ago while looking for inspiration on others bogs, sorry I cant remember the persons blog  and as I love Bloomin with Beauty so much I decided on this card.

Organic Grace

 Not sure what you would call the technique but its something I've had in mind for a while and I was quite pleased with the results. I've used Soft Suede and Very Vanilla card, along with contrasting ink, Soft Suede ribbon and of course Organic Grace Stamp Set.

Echoes of Kindness and Vellum

Another project I did over Easter, I wanted to stamp on vellum for a different effect.
I used Echoes of Kindness along with DSP from Tall Tales,Soft Suede ribbon from new mini and a few buttons.

 Using 2 of the new colours in the Autumn mini, Rich Razzleberry and Soft suede and an idea I saw on SCS for Faux Chinese lantern effect I made this card. I used Embrace life stamp set to give an oriental look.

I thought I'd use this card for my JAI entry this week.

   I managed to get my challenge done this afternoon, my head wasn't really into it but here is a cute little bag which my friend Paula showed me, I have done something similar but a bit larger, I prefer the smaller size.

I used a kraft coloured bag and close to cocoa, cameo coral and blush blossom card stock and matching inks along with my new stamp set Vintage Vogue which I received today in a order full of new goodies to play with that are in the new Autumn-Winter mini and will be available from the 1st April.
